Ingredients

Makes 4 plates

4-8 hamburger patties
4-8 slices American cheese
ketchup and mustard as needed
french bread and butter

Meat Sauce

1 cup white onion
1lb ground beef
6oz tomato paste
¼ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp allspice
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp ground cumin
¼ tsp paprika
¼ tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper as needed

Home Fries

8 russet potatoes
1/2 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1-2 Tbsp butter
Paprika, salt, and pepper to taste

Mac Salad

4 servings macaroni pasta
1/2 cup carrot slivers
2 green onions
2 cups parsley
½ cup sweet chilis or red bell peppers
1 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper as needed
4 heaping spoonfuls of mayonnaise
2 heaping spoonfuls of sour cream
2 tbsp Dijon mustard


Proceedure

Mac Salad

Boil Pasta until tender

Mix all mac salad ingredients together.

Refridgerate until ready.

Meat Sauce

Saute onions until soft and set aside.

Cook ground beef until crispy, stirring so that it is cooked evenly.

Add tomato paste and spices and mix well, then add onions

Deglaze with 1 cup of water, salt and pepper to taste.

Keep warm on low.

Home Fries & Burgers

Peel and dice potatoes.

Place potatoes, vinnegar, salt, and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 min.

Cook burgers in cast iron, adding cheese once nearly done. Burgers should be 55F-60F.

Once finished, add a bit of water to deglaze, and add a bit of butter as well.

Once potatoes are done, place on a paper towel to drain.

Cook potatoes in the cast iron pan without flipping to create crispiness on one side, mix to finish.

Season with salt, pepper, and paprika while fresh from the pan.

Arrange plate with half mac salad, half home fries, and put the burgers on top. Spoon over meat sauce, and finish with ketchup and mustard on top. Serve with a bread roll.
