Makes about 20 drinks per batch (2tbsp chai mix per drink)

Ingredients

8 tsp granulated sugar
8 tsp brown sugar
8 tsp coconut flakes
8 tsp non-dairy powdered creamer
5 tsp dry milk powder
3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp coconut flour
1 tsp asam tea
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp fresh nutmeg
1/4 tsp dried ginger
1 spoke of an ainse star
1/8 tsp whole cumin seed
1/8 tsp whole cloves

2 tsp pure vanilla
1 cup water
2 cups 2% milk (can substitute almond, soy, oat, or rice milk)
ice as needed

Optional:
Dirty Chai: 1-3 shots of espresso
Spiked Chai: 2tbsp bourbon or rum
Home Chai: 1-2 tsp honey
Beach Chai: 2tbsp coconut milk

Proceedure

Grind your tea, cumin, ainse, and cloves finely with a mortar and pestle.

Grate your nutmeg and ginger as well.

Bring 1 cup of water to 200F degrees.

Place all non-liquid ingredients into a spice grinder and grind until fine.

Add 2 tbsp of your chai mix, 1 cup of hot water, and 2tsp vanilla to a french press.

Let stand for 2-10 minutes (the longer the better).

Press the mix and pour into a cup.

Add 2 cups milk, any optional ingredients, and ice as needed.

Alternatively instead of ice you can also re-heat for hot chai.
